The Daily Doodles

Heylo Everyone!

It’s been a while since I wrote a “heylo” post, and since I’ve been getting a lot of anon questions lately, I figured I could do one.  AND PEOPLE WHO ASK ANON QUESTIONS— I don’t usually post questions on my site.  Like, I’ve done it once maybe.  You will (most likely) simply not get an answer to your query if you ask it anonymously.  I don’t MIND anon asks, not at all, but I don’t post asks in general because it would seriously clutter up my site.  Just so you knowwwwwww but feel free to send whatever ya like!

I don’t know if I should do a FAQ, but some questions tend to come up repeatedly so I’ll answer some here.

IS YOU A BOY OR IS YOU A GIRL?
I is obviously 100% boy.  I think it’s clear from my writing and colouring, but it’s a compliment that some wonder about my gender I guess!

WHERE IS YOU FROM?
I am from Portland, Oregon (in the Northwest corner of the USA), but I currently live in Los Angeles.  I am a writer here, full-time.

WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR IDEAS/INSPIRATION?
It’s a common but good n’ tough question!  I don’t know.  I think people either have ideas or they don’t, but if you’re creative you can practice and hone your abilities to have more ideas come to you, and easily.  When I think up a phrase, an image, or an idea, I always immediately write it down in my idea-notepad.  In there I have over 200+ Doodle ideas to use in the future.

I prefer to think up a Doodle that day and do the new idea, since they tend to energize me more, but if nuthin’ good came up that I wanna do, I page through the idea-pad and something always catches my eye in there (or forms a new idea).

WHAT TABLET/PENS/PROGRAM DO YOU USE?
I don’t use a tablet, EVERYTHING is hand-drawn and coloured by myself.  I only use a Photoshop imitation program to crop the picture.  What I do is, is think up a Doodle and then I draw it in pencil (sometimes doing a test drawing in my idea-notepad), then I ink it with Micron inking pens (03 and a 005 for fine lines), colour in everything with mostly coloured pencils (cheap ones, nothing fancy) and sometimes markers and highlighters.  Besides the Micron pens, everything is generic and usually from the 99 cent store.

WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE?  ARE YOU UGLY?

This is my most recent picture, on the way to see Harry Potter.  Yup, I’m wearing the same shirts I wrote in my ABOUT ME long ago.  My “ABOUT ME” explains why I started The Daily Doodles, and has a gif of me dancing a jig.  (I only have about 3 pairs of shirts, so excuse me for wearing the same one twice geez.)
